Author Report: Cool Kids Eco-Fest
I headed up to Batavia, NY not knowing quite what to expect. I knew there was going to be a recycling effort and a lot of kids. It was fantastic! The kids were collecting all kinds of recycling, including computers, monitors & T.Vs. There was a puppet show, music and pizzzzaaaa! Anyone that wanted to, could take home a wee little tree for planting. (picture below)
I had fun introducing both parents and children to Gaia Girls. I think, once again, my Gaia-otter puppet was more entertaining than I was! Thankfully, she only scared one small child. This event took place at Genesee Community College and one big, tall college boy ran over on a break from his class and bought a copy of Enter the Earth for his mom for Mother’s Day…what a smart son!
