Author’s Report-MA & NH
I love New England! It was raining when we left NY, but by the time we crossed into MA, it was sunny and we were enjoying gorgeous views of the Berkshires. The interview on The Writer’s Voice was fun. We should have audio of that by the end of the week.
The second day we drove (the VW Beetle that runs on veggie-oil!) up to Keene, NH and the fabulous Toadstool Bookshop. Janet Clymer at Toadstool really knows her books! I am a big fan of independant bookstores and will write more about that later. I can say, it was hard for me to sit and sign books when what I really wanted to be doing was book shopping!!
Be sure to check out the photo of Gaia reading over the gnome’s shoulder!
The rain must have followed us fron NY. When we drove back down to Amherst, MA, it was pouring! I went to Amherst Books and Jay went to talk to some other “gaia-minded” people about the veggie-bug. Nat, at Amherst Books, had ginger snaps and cider out, just the thing after a wet drive down the interstate!
All-in-all it was a good trip. I hope to go back in the fall when school has started up and I can do a Gaia Girls school tour.
