Launching Gaia Girls Way of Water in Baltimore was awesome! My hubby and I went to the National Aquarium in Baltimore the day before to check it out. WOW! I highly recommend NAIB and the whole Inner Harbor of Baltimore for good, famiy fun!

We were in the stands, waiting for the dolphin show to begin and…guess who they picked out of the crowd to be a volunteer in the show? ME! I got to tell one of the bottle-nosed dolphins to do a big jump and I was allowed to pat his tail. What a treat!

I signed books at the gift shop for 2 hours on Saturday. The smiley guy in the black shirt is Bill Mott, Director of The Ocean Project. If you get a book signed by me, you will probably get a great “Seas the Day” bookmark. If you didn’t, there is a form in the bok of Gaia Girs Way of Water you can send to Bill and he will send you a bookmark!

The girl with the great curly hair is the “real Gaia.” That’s her name! I also met a lot of Girl Scouts from Staten Island who were at NAIB that day. We had a great time!

That afternoon, I went across the way to a HUGE Barnes & Noble! The smart folks in Baltimore converted an old coal-fired power plant into a B&N, Hard Rock Cafe and ESPN Zone. Pretty Gaia-friendly to re-use a building like that! When you go into the bookstore, you actually walk through the old smokestacks. I thought it was very cool!

If you got your Gaia Girls book in Baltimore, comment on this post and let me know!
