Chicago! Chicago!
What A Trip! I had a fantastic week in the windy city. The day I arrived my good friend Jonah took me to a Cubs game. The kicker was, we watched from a rooftop across the street! It was very cool. I took pictures with my cell phone and as soon as I learn how to download them, I will add them to this collection.
Shedd Aquarium was amazing. I snapped a few pictures of the great architecture. Sadly, I didn’t have time to go see the dolphins. They have Pacific White-Sided Dolphins!. These are the same kind as the Notch, Star and the rest that you may or may not have met in Gaia Girls Way of Water. The Museum of Science and Industry was also great. Check out the train in the lobby!
One of the highlights for me was meeting Annie, Maxine, Laura & Francesca. They are the official first four members of the Gaia Girls Fan Club! (More on that in the next e-newsletter) Annie lives a few blocks from the Whole Foods where I was signing, so I got to pay a visit. She has a most excellent tree in the backyard!
Speaking of trees– The Morton Arboreatum is Lisle, IL is a must visit! I was surprised to see another Gaia when I showed up! One lucky girl got to take her home that day!
The adventure I didn’t take photos of was the veggie-bug having coolant issues. I want to give a big THANK YOU shout out to Al & Lynn at Nal’s Auto Repair for fixing everything and being VERY kind to this travelling author!
Annie says:
