Winter Solstice Surprise
Today is the shortest day of the year. I, for one, am a real sun-bunny–I can’t wait for summer!
However, the long, cold, dark nights of winter are perfect for reading. In that spirit, and to celebrate Gaia tilting back toward the sun (at least for us Northern Hemisphere residents) I reached into my computers ‘deleted scenes’ folder to bring you the further adventures of Elizabeth and Miho.
I hope you enjoy reading them. Be kind. These scenes were deleted out of the final books for a reason. You are getting a glimpse into the book-making process!
After you read these, let me know what you are doing to celebrate the return of longer days!
Happy Holidays, everyone! -Lee

P.S. For Winter Solstice we are probably going to try to be outside as long as possible, so we can make the most of the little daylight we have, I think I’m going to ask for beef stew for dinner, yum!

Yeah, the comparisons (as usual) were really easy to see and imagine … Two thumbs up Lee!

I had the awesomest solstice EVER. The 6 inches of snow we had, got this 2 inch layer of freezing rain over it so you could crack the ice into chunks that you could make snow forts with, it was also perfectly slippery for sledding so, me and my neighbors made this awesome sled jump down their stairs, it’s still there! I love the winter solstice!

Aaah! I definetely haven’t been writing on the blog in forever, but I can say two things: 1. I love beef stew
2. no snow in North Carolina
