What to read?

What books do you think this author should read in 2009? Next week, I’m going to post a list on Goodreads.comĀ  I’m committing to reading 12 adult novels, 12 middle-reader novels and 12 non-fiction. I may throw a few short story collections in the mix.

Let me know what your picks are! They can be in any of the catagories above. Thanks!

ooh yes I agree with “to kill a mockingbird” unless you have already. We are reading it in class and I LOVE IT!! and ladybug, when you read it, think of me when you hear of scout. that was my nickname as a little kid and thats why my name is scout up there ^^ it is because of Scout Finch. When I was young, I was a too aggresive-tomboy too ^.^

twilight was also good, and I think you would like Savvy. I don’t know the author but the cover is a bus in the distance and lots of clouds with a bit of lightning. Its kinda like Gaia Girls in the sense that these kids have superpowers and stuff. I liked it a lot.

Twilight, Savvy, and TKAM would all be middle reader I think. TKAM could be non-fiction

Twilight isn’t too scary till the climatic ending scene, but its not too bad. Although, the sequels (New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn) get a bit scarier (and more…mature…) as they go.

Hoot is so much better than the movie! I loved the book a lot. My brother doesn’t like reading very much, but then I told him he might like hoot. He loved it. I also loved Rules by Cynthia Lord – It’s great. I recomended that to him too. He loved it. Scott O’dell is awesome too – I love Sing Down The Moon. It’s kinda short, but that’s OK. Coraline is creepy – I heard theyr’e making a movie out of it, but it’s just cartoons and Coraline’s hair is BLUE! It may be an OK movie. Oh – the redwall books are awesome! Read those! I am so going to read the twilight series – haven’t gotten to it yet. my grandma says it’s really weird and she wants me to do emboidery with me but i don’t want to hurt her feelings becuase shes nice to me.

I know! I mean, about Coraline’s hair being blue, IT IS RED!!!!!!!!!! I think. I tried reading Twilight, but, it creeped me out, plus, some time later some of my friends and I went to the pool and met my other friend. She was reading Breaking Dawn and got to this part that freaked her out so, her blood sugar went totally south, then she fainted and blacked out for two minutes. It was especially scary for me because her skin was grey and her eyes rooled back for a moment, andd the fire department had to come and draw some blood. Omigosh, sorry! i just totally sounded mean, if you are going to read Twilight, go ahead!!!!!!!!!
