WOLF MOON!

Tonight is your BEST chance to see the full moon in its clearest form! The moon will be 14% wider and 30% brighter than normal! Why?

The moon is “at perigree.” This means the moon is at its closest point to the Earth. And this month “perigree” happens to coincide with the Full Moon!

Native Americans called it the “Wolf Moon” because the deep snows and fridgid temperatures of January had the wolves howling with hunger outside native villages. Other January full moon names are: Old Moon, Ice Moon, and Moon After Yule.

The best time to view this Bright Moon is when the moon is rising over the horizon tonight! Be sure to go outside at Moonrise and see this once-a-year spectacular! And be sure to tune in for Radio Gaia’s January Bright Moon episode tomorrow!

I read the first one too! I like it in some ways, but in others, it left me wanting. I do plan, however, to read the rest!!!

yeah i read it in third grade so i’m hoping to read it again along with the rest of the series before i see the movie. there’s just one problem, can’t find it anywhere. see, i live in a really small town, and i say small i mean it. the population of rathdrum, idaho is 4,816 as of the 2000 census. i checked my school library, and it was checked and hadfive reserves for it. i checked our local library and t was checked out with three reserves on it. we drove over to spokan (the closest big town to us) to buy it at borders, but they were sold out. i really want to read it, and i wish i could find a copy.

Hey GG101, maybe you could swap books with another reader at your school. I bet you have a great book she hasn’t read. I also bet SOMEBODY, has a copy. Ask your teacher to ask the other teachers! :) Start asking everybody you can think of if they, or someone they know has a copy. There is bound to be one somwhere. Good luck and keep us posted on your hunt!
