The Cove Filmakers-Gaia Heroes!
A few months ago, I was asked to lead a post-screening discussion about The Cove: The ACADAMY AWARD-WINNING documentary exposing the dolphin slaughter in Taiiji, Japan. Of course, I jumped at the opportunity since this is the issue I take on in Gaia Girls Way of Water. It blew my hair back to see what I’d written about depicted on the big screen.Although I write fiction, what I bring into the story is very real. (View the trailer here)
I’m thrilled to see that the film makers are continuing to expose the killing/murder of our ocean’s marine mammals: Check out their undercover work exposing the sale of Sei whale meat in a Santa Monica sushi restaurant! Louie Psihoyos is definatley my “Gaia Hero” of the day!

I’ve seen a few commercials, and I couldn’t help but notice that the voice of the main narrator was the same one as Food Inc.
